About Old House Research
Mission
Old House Research is my passion. I was born in Saint Paul's Summit Hill Neighborhood, America's largest and best-preserved Victorian historic district, where I continue to dwell today. I have researched and written histories of many of the area's homes, co-authored the book A Grand History: The Summit Hill Neighborhood's First 200 Years, and have published many articles on St. Paul's fascinating history in journals and more.
I am never happier than when I am unveiling the secrets of the buildings, builders and inhabitants of days gone by, whether for home tours, magazines and newsletters, realtors, or simply the enjoyment of a beloved home's owners.
